Video: CM Punk and Daniel Bryan pay homage to Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen's UFC 148 fight finish

As many have pointed out -- and I missed thanks to looking away from the screen to live blog every few seconds -- CM Punk and Daniel Bryan paid homage to the UFC 148 main event fight finish between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen on last night's (July 9, 2012) episode of WWE Monday Night Raw.

For those of you who don't follow MMA, Silva defended his middleweight championship against Sonnen in the main event of the UFC 148 pay-per-view (PPV) this past Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada. During the course of the fight, Sonnen attempted an ill advised spinning backfist. Because he's Neo from the Matrix, Silva saw it coming and ducked out of the way, causing Sonnen -- who committed to the punch with reckless abandon -- to go toppling over, falling on his ass.

Silva proceeded to land a crushing knee strike to the chest while Sonnen was still on the ground, which led to "The Spider" finishing the fight to retain his 185-pound title.

Punk, who is good friends with Sonnen, took the role of his buddy while Bryan played Silva. Ultimately, though, Punk (and AJ) won the match.

Still, this was pretty cool. Enjoy.
