My partner in crime, Sergio Hernandez, brought word earlier that Beth Phoenix legitimately injured her ankle during her match against Nikki Bella on Raw last night (April 23, 2012) in Detroit. Or she didn't. Or maybe she did and they played it into the storyline after. Or maybe she didn't and the whole thing was a work.
So let's take another look at the match itself in the video above. Skip to the 1:54 mark to see Phoenix jump off the apron and onto the floor outside. It looks to me as though she lands okay and then quickly scoots her foot out. She also uses it shortly thereafter.
