Gina Carano reportedly set to join The Rock on the cast of Fast 6

Mixed martial arts (MMA) bombshell turned actor Gina Carano is about to get cozy with the jabroni beating, pie eating, trail blazin', eyebrow raisin; oh, you know the rest. The Rock left WWE just after WrestleMania 28 and one of the reasons he did so was to film Fast 6, the next installment in the hugely successful Fast and Furious franchise.

And according to the Hollywood Reporter, Carano is in talks to join him.

Fast 6 begins filming soon and features the ongoing story of a band of wheel men, led by actors Paul Walker and Vin Diesel, escaping from the law while pulling various heists all around the world. The Rock's character, Luke Hobbs, who debuted in Fast Five, is a Diplomatic Security Service Agent charged with bringing the two protagonists to justice.

If Carano joins the cast as it looks she's primed to do, she would assume the role of the beautiful woman in The Rock's squad. Or one of them.

Carano left MMA after getting savagely beaten by Cristiane Santos (known now as Cristiane Justino) back in Aug. 2009 and has since starred in the major motion picture Haywire, a critically acclaimed film directed by Steven Soderbergh. Because of the positive reviews she gained from that role, she's been cast for In the Blood, yet another action thriller.

Add Fast 6 to the mix, which is slated for a May 2013 release, and it looks as though her Hollywood career will render her fighting career moot. At least for the time being.
