Not that I want to remind you any of the Vince Russo era in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) but on this date in history on April 17, 2000, Hulk Hogan threw Billy Kidman into a dumpster after a short brawl in a parking lot on Monday Nitro.

And then he drove a hummer into said dumpster.

The commentary in the video is enough to make you want to blow your own brains out, with Tony Schiavonne and Mark Madden laughably proclaiming that Kidman could be dead because Hogan had run the Hummer into the dumpster.

How this all came about has to do with just one of the many silly and sad stories of WCW obliterating kayfabe and trying to make us believe everything was a "shoot." Hogan came out on Nitro and challenged anyone to "take his spot." He even used his real name, Terry Bollea, just so we knew he was "shooting."

Eventually, Kidman, a member of the New Blood faction that was running wild at that time, answered the call via video and told Hogan to come to the parking lot. It takes over an hour of the show for Hogan to actually find little old Billy, with plenty of silly skits in between. Then he does, tries to kill him (as the esteemed commentary team tells us), and drives off in the Hummer to run down Eric Bischoff, presumably to commit vehicular manslaughter.

Yep.

Just another reminder of how embarrassing WCW was during this time period. Video after the jump.
