Last night (Feb. 20, 2012) on Raw, Wade Barrett suffered an ugly arm injury when Dolph Ziggler was thrown out of the ring onto him by Big Show during the 10-man battle royal main event. Initially it looked as though it was a broken arm.

Now, WWE.com has provided an update, as well as a timetable for his return:

WWE.com has learned that during Raw SuperShow's 10-Man Battle Royal, Wade Barrett suffered a partial dislocation of his left elbow Monday night. Barrett will undergo an MRI for further evaluation in the coming days and will be out of action for at least 6 to 8 weeks.

This is an unfortunate situation for Barrett and the timing couldn't be worse. It's possible he could be back in time for WrestleMania if they rushed it but as it stands right now, he's going to miss the biggest show of the year.

Personal feelings for his character aside, that's not something I would wish on any wrestler. Let's hope Barrett makes a full recovery and comes back fresher and better than ever.
