WWE Smackdown was taped last night (Jan. 31) in Omaha for the show to air this coming Friday night on SyFy. The show is being advertised as featuring a main event of Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett, as well as the announcement of who will be in the Smackdown Elimination Chamber match.

We know who will be in that match already and you can read all about that right here.

It's quite the rag-tag bunch and one man, in particular, is missing that presumably should be there but isn't for reasons sure to make plenty of you sad pandas.

You can read full spoilers for this week's episode of WWE Smackdown (via Wrestling Observer) after the jump.

For starters, the top of the arena was tarped off and plenty of seats were empty. Smackdown is a great show but it's not filling buildings all around the country.

-- The show opens to recap the Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett feud, promoting the main event match between the two set for later in the night.

-- Teddy Long (playa) made his way out to announce the Smackdown Elimination Chamber match participants, which, at that point, was Daniel Bryan, Orton, Barrett, Cody Rhodes, Big Show and Mark Henry. All the top dogs from Smackdown besides Sheamus, basically. Henry came out to demand an immediate title shot, though, and eventually it led to him grabbing up Long and getting suspended. This was done to write Henry off TV, presumably so he can heal up his injuries. I already talked about this in the previous post announcing the Chamber match but Henry's treatment couldn't be more disheartening.

-- The segment ended with Sheamus coming out to boot Henry out with a Brogue Kick, so he's gone. Cody Rhodes came out and got on Sheamus' case, leading to Long making a match between the two. I don't even need to tell you who won for you to know.

-- Justin Gabriel and Hunico were to have a match but it never happened because Rhodes went after Gabriel. Camacho and Hunico jumped in and Great Khali came out to make the save.

-- They do a backstage comedy segment involving Drew McIntyre, Santino Marella, Jim Duggan and Aksana.

-- Epico and Primo def. Santino and Jim Duggan who formed a tag team in the earlier comedy sketch. Glad to see the tag champs getting clean wins over solid competition.

-- Michael Cole does an interview with Daniel Bryan that sees him actually apologize to Bryan and admit he was wrong about him. I guess they finally realized that the heel announcer shouldn't be running down the heel champion and calling him a dork. Bryan shakes off the apology, cuts another promo about being vegan (which they can't stop pushing since he won that award) and Big Show came out to get physical.

-- Brodus Clay gets another squash match, this one over Heath Slater. This time, though, when he's done doing his thing, Drew McIntyre comes out to attack. He, too, gets squashed like a bug.

-- Women wrestled.

-- Randy Orton did a backstage interview saying he would have done Barrett just as dirty as Barrett did him. This before he absolutely kills Barrett in the main event, putting him out with multiple RKOs. The end of their feud? We shall see.

There's Smackdown for this week, folks, or at least as described by someone in attendance. Sound like a good show to you?
