Three months ago, we reported Ric Flair was going through his fourth divorce with his current wife Jacqueline Fliehr (aka Jacqueline Beems) while waiting for his WWE call up. Since that time, nothing has changed regarding his WWE status, he's still on the outside looking in, thanks to TNA's lawsuit against WWE for allegedly tampering with Flair's TNA contract before he quit the company.
Now, we can also reveal that Flair's fourth divorce proceedings are also dragging on, just like the legal stalemate preventing his inevitable WWE return.
An amicable separation was not expected, as the couple had a highly volatile relationship. One which saw the cops called to their household on two separate occasions for fights where Beems had assaulted Flair: The first, occurring on the night of Feb. 21, 2010, which led to an avalanche of negative publicity at the time, and the second, being one which received less media play, back on June 25th of this year.
Unsurprisingly, it seems Flair wasn't without fault in this relationship either, as the bloodhounds at TMZ have obtained legal documents filed in Mecklenberg County, NC earlier this month by Jacqueline, asking for a divorce. Given Flair's reputation and track record, it should come as no surprise that he's been accused of adultery by his soon to be ex-wife, while she remained "faithful and dutiful":
"Husband has had numerous intimate relationships with other women during the parties' marriage, to the embarrassment and humiliation of wife."
Flair's second wife, Beth Harrell, made similar accusations in their even nastier divorce, going so far as to say he would hang out with his mistress, Tiffany VanDemark, in front of Harrell's children, before later becoming his third wife.
To the best of my knowledge, no such allegations came out during his third divorce, but that may have been due to Tiffany wanting to keep quiet her own mistakes during their messy break up:
"In June 2009, Tiffany hired a moving company to retrieve her possessions from Fliehr's house. She allegedly broke into the home using a shovel. In the process, she destroyed five "Flair Bear" stuffed animals and took another 25 [with her]. Also taken from Fliehr's house, were 12 action figures, two handguns, three robes, a ruby necklace, and Fliehr's dog. One of the destroyed Flair Bears was found in a "lewd and lascivious" position in Fliehr's pool."
Moreover, it already looks like Flair has lined up wife number five, as he hasn't been shy about publicly revealing he's currently dating Wendy Barlow (better known as Flair's WCW valet, Fifi The Maid in 1993). They must have reconnected while bumping into each other on the convention circuit.
Jacqueline is also alleging that Flair has already reneged on a separation agreement struck in October for monthly alimony and help with her legal expenses:
"According to the docs, Flair agreed to pay Jacqueline $4k per month in spousal support ... plus a one-time payment of $15k to cover legal costs. He also agreed to pay $14k in back payments from the time they split in July. But Jacqueline claims Nature Boy totally blew off the agreement -- and hasn't paid her one single cent. Now she wants a judge to force Ric to pay up ... which shouldn't be too hard, considering she claims he still makes more than $1 MILLION per year."
This also fits in perfectly with Flair's past behaviour. His legal history is littered with lawsuits for being a big spender who bought goods and services with no intent of paying for them until demanded, took out loans with no intention of repaying them until sued, and skipped out on paying taxes completely. Things got so bad last year, he was even faced with home eviction at one point.
So, given the mountain of debt he has to contend with, he likely blew off the payments to Jacqueline, as he had more urgent bills to cover. Without his TNA job, it's also hard to believe he's still making $100,000 a month, even though he does have some lucrative endorsements with local state lotteries and Coca-Cola (which could be jeopardized with this latest round of negative headlines).
Basically, Vince McMahon's handouts can't come fast enough -- again.
Despite it all being par for Flair's crazy golf course, his attorney's denied all of Jacqueline's claims to TMZ, naturally pointing to her own misconduct during their marriage together, (which given that he can't afford to lose any of his advertising jobs, had to be expected).
Let's just hope Flair gets it right on his inevitable fifth marriage attempt, as another divorce is the last thing he needs!
