Daily Open Thread for Dec. 30, 2012: NFL regular season ends with marquee match-ups

Here's your Daily Open Thread for Sun., Dec. 30, 2012. As usual, come discuss whatever you would like if you get bored at work or just want to chat with all your favorite lovely Cagesiders on any topic you want.

The National Football League (NFL) will end its regular season today with a slate of marquee match-ups with plenty of playoff implications. My Chicago Bears battle the Detroit Lions needing a win and some help to make the playoffs. The Green Bay Packers would need to beat the Minnesota Vikings to go along with a Chicago win, so you know what I'm hoping for today.

But there are other big games too, like the Dallas Cowboys taking on the Washington Redskins on Sunday Night Football with the NFC East division crown up for grabs. The loser could still make the playoffs but a lot has to go right.
