Welcome to another edition of "Slapstick Saturday," Cagesiders, where your old pal Hulk Holland pokes fun at every botch, blooper and bomb the world of professional wrestling has ever given us.
This week, we're getting all choked up.
Fans of Thor -- comic book or movie -- will tell you that only the son of Odin can wield his mighty hammer, also known as the barely-pronounceable Mjolnir. So if you're a bad guy (yes, I'm looking at you, Juggernaut), it doesn't matter how strong you are, it will fail to operate under your employ.
Perhaps, The Undertaker has a little Norse blood in him.
That could explain why Hulk Hogan, who reignited their tepid feud back in 2002 (to abysmal results), was unable to get 'Taker's chopper to drive up the entrance ramp and run "The Deadman" down. And if you know one thing about Hulkamania, it's that it's no stranger to running wild on two wheels.
Just not on this night.
Sigh, good ole J.R. does his best to sell the segment as Hulkster spits, sputters and stalls his way uphill amidst the groans of the unimpressed crowd.
"That's the Undertaker's bike, so Hogan is certainly not accustomed to riding that motorcycle. (Stalls three times.) I'm not so sure that Hogan isn't playing with the Undertaker's mind right now."
Uh-huh.
Hulkster had to climb down and high-tail it up the ramp on foot. Undertaker's scooter would never be the same, and still suffered the effects of Hogan's ass over a year later.
