Look how far we've come.

The Cageside Seats Greatest Matches Tournament has whittled its field down from 64 to the Final Four, a prestigious group that includes one big surprise amongst three number one seeds.

As usual, we'll take the weekend off before resuming with the two match-ups before the big final the next week. And, as usual, the Final Four will feature an extra day of voting for each match.

Here's the order they go:

Mon., Dec. 17: (5) "CM Punk v Samoa Joe, Joe vs. Punk II 2004" vs. (1) "Randy Savage v Ricky Steamboat, WrestleMania 3"

Wed., Dec. 19: (1) "Bret Hart v British Bulldog, SummerSlam 1992" vs. (1) "Bret Hart v Stone Cold Steve Austin, WrestleMania 13"

It's pretty amazing that at the start of the tournament, Shawn Michaels was involved in 15 matches. By the Sweet Sixteen, that number was down the 8. By the Elite Eight it was 3 and now that we've reached the Final Four, he no longer has a match left in the tourney at all.

Bret Hart, meanwhile, still has two and because those two matches are going head-to-head, he's guaranteed a spot in the finals. It's also possible that Stone Cold Steve Austin, who won the Greatest Wrestler Tournament, could reach the final for the Greatest Match Tournament as well.

Impressive.

There you have it, Cagesiders. See you next week!
