WWE Main Event results and live blog for Nov. 7: Wade Barrett vs Sheamus

WWE Main Event comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Nov. 7, 2012) at 8 p.m. ET on the Ion Television network for yet another weekly episodic program from our favorite pro wrestling company.

Tonight's show features a match set up last week, Wade Barrett vs. Sheamus. It doesn't really flow with other current storylines but this is WWE we're dealing with.

"Fuck it, we'll book it live!"

Broadcast is live.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Big Show enters.

He joins Michael Cole and The Miz at the announce table.

Sheamus enters and starts a brawl with Big Show at ringside.

Order is restored as we go to break.

Sheamus vs. Wade Barrett

Lockup to start and the two roll around the ropes and corners. Another lockup and Barrett gets the side headlock. Off the ropes and shoulder bump by Barrett. Lockup again and Sheamus takes Barrett down. Front headlock in for Sheamus. Barrett reverses into an arm lock.

At ringside, Big Show is bucking at Michael Cole for getting too sassy with him.

Back inside, Sheamus shoulder blocks Barrett. Lockup and Sheamus is put into the corner by Barrett, who unleashes elbows. Barrett sends Sheamus into the corner, but Sheamus comes back with a forearm. Sheamus with three or four kneelifts for a nearfall.

Barrett gets back to his feet and drops Sheamus. He is landing punches in the corner on Sheamus. Sheamus fights back and shoulder rams Barrett into the corner. Barrett sends Sheamus into the ropes and lands an elbow. Barrett tries a suplex, but Sheamus reverses it into his own. Nearfall for Sheamus.

Sheamus is sent into the ropes, but he hangs on. He pulls down the rope on Barrett, who gets back to the apron and eats ten forearms to the chest. Sheamus suplexes him inside and gets a nearfall.

Barrett with an elbow to Sheamus' stomach. Sheamus goes off the ropes, but Barrett clotheslines Sheamus to the outside.

Action goes outside and Barrett whips Sheamus into the barricade.

Barrett steps back inside the ring and the ref starts a count. Sheamus gets to the apron and tries a battering ram, but Barrett clocks him with a punch that sends Sheamus down to the floor.

We go to break with Sheamus down on the outside.

We are back and Barrett puts Sheamus down for a nearfall.

Barrett mounts Sheamus and lands ground and pound. Chin lock in on Sheamus. Sheamus with torso shots to get out and tries an attack, but Barrett counters with a sidekick. Pumphandle slam by Barrett earns him a nearfall.

Barrett hangs Sheamus in between the ropes and gets the Thai clinch in. Knees to the head and chest of Sheamus knocks him down. Barrett follows with a boot.

Barrett moves to the outside. The two exchange strikes, but Barrett sends Sheamus into the steel steps. Barrett climbs on top of the barricade and does an elbow drop on Sheamus.

Action back inside and Barrett gets a nearfall.

Barrett charges a cornered Sheamus, but Barrett runs into the boots of Sheamus. Barrett turns the tide back in his favor by whipping Sheamus into the corner hard for a nearfall.

Chin lock goes back in, then is turned into a sleeper by Barrett. Sheamus down on the mat and struggling, but he fights to his feet. Side suplex by Sheamus gets him out of the hold. Sheamus with a clothesline that puts Barrett down.

Both men down on the mat as go back to break.

Back and the two are exchanging strikes. Sheamus wins the battle, knocking Barrett down with an axhandle. Shoulder ram in the corner and a knee lift by Sheamus. He gets Barrett up on the shoulders, but Barrett moves to the outside. Sheamus follows and does a battering ram on the apron.

Barrett is sent back inside and Sheamus lands a battering ram for a nearfall.

Inside and Sheamus gets Barrett up, but Barrett slips out and lands a running knee. Sidekick to the face of Sheamus earns Barrett a nearfall.

Barrett stalking Sheamus. Barrett going for Wasteland, but Sheamus gets him up for the Irish Cross. Barrett out and Sheamus tries a Brogue Kick, but Barrett lands a side slam. Nearfall for Barrett.

Barrett trying to work the power offense with strikes, but Sheamus catches Barrett from running the ropes and hits the Irish Curse for a nearfall.

Sheamus going up top, but Barrett follows with punches. Both men go up top. Sheamus with the headbutt to send Barrett down, but Barrett comes back and sweeps Sheamus off the top for a nearfall.

Barrett sets Sheamus up for an elbow drop. He goes up top and elbow drops the knees of Sheamus. Sheamus gets the White Noise on Wade Barrett.

Big Show walking across ringside and going backstage, distracting Sheamus momentarily.

Brogue Kick attempt lands and lays Barrett flat.

Sheamus wins.

Big Show applauds his efforts from the top of the stage. The two jock and jaw at each other.

Matt Striker backstage with Big Show, asking if he is at all concerned about his title defense at Survivor Series.

Big Show knocks Striker out.

R-Truth vs. Heath Slater

Lockup and arm drag by Slater. Slater playing to the crowd . Lockup again and Truth with a side headlock. Truth gets the shoulder block. Slater and Truth trade dance moves. Truth punching Slater in the corner. Slater goes down and Truth walks over, but Slater with a kick to the leg. Slater off the ropes and runs into a spinebuster. Truth with the spinning leg drop for a nearfall.

Slater sends Truth off the ropes, but Truth with a kick to the face. Truth with more punches and clotheslines Slater to the outside. Jinder gets up on the apron to cause a distraction and bring Truth to the outside.

And Slater clobbers him with a clothesline. He drops him on the apron. Slater stomping Truth.

Back inside and Slater with a nearfall.

Slater locks in the sleeper and Truth fighting out. Truth goes off the ropes, but he runs into a kick by Slater. Slater gets the nearfall.

Slater choking Truth on the second rope. He does some air guitar, but Truth with punches to the torso. Truth turns it around, but Slater shoves him to the outside.

Jinder stomps on Truth while the ref is distracted and Slater brings Truth back in.

Nearfall for Slater.

Slater again with the sleeper. Truth fights out, but Slater works him in the corner. Slater gets kicked in the gut and Truth runs out of the corner with a clothesline. Dropkick by Truth. Slater goes for a hip toss, but Truth rolls him up for a nearfall.

Slater sends Truth into the corner, then gets a neckbreaker. Nearfall.

Slater has Truth up for a powerbomb, but Truth turns him around and hits a jawbreaker. Mahal comes in and attacks Truth.

Truth wins by DQ.

3MB lays the beat down on Truth and lands their finishers.

Next week, Team Hell No will wrestle Team Rhodes Scholars for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Fade to black.
