Survivor Series is nigh and with it comes a huge double point bonus for being among the biggest non-WrestleMania Pay Per Views of the year.
This means the winners of both the WWE Championship triple threat match between CM Punk, Ryback, and John Cena AND the World Heavyweight Championship match between Big Show and Sheamus will score 10 Wrankings points. Given that Cena and Show are hovering around 40 points apiece, this is clearly a huge chunk on the march towards the overall season Wrankings Championship.
The key match at Survivor Series, in terms of the Wrankings, is Big Show/Sheamus. It's important, not only for the raw points at stake, but also in that a loss here should finally expel Sheamus from the world title scene and to the back of the line. If he wins, he's instead on top of the mountain again and in line for many more title defense bonus points. If anyone, namely Punk or Ryback, has any hope of catching The Celtic Warrior, this fall needs to happen as soon as possible.
Enjoy the big night of points, Cagesiders! We'll sort through all the fallout in this space next week.
