If I were to tell you we would be this far into WWE's "C" show, Main Event, which airs on Wednesday nights on Ion Television, and the promotion would still be booking marquee match-ups, you would have called me a liar, right?
Well, here we are and the hits just keep on coming.
Last night's episode featured Wade Barrett calling out Sheamus and the former world heavyweight champion answered the call, thus setting up their match for Main Event next week on Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. ET.
What does this mean for the title picture on SmackDown? With Sheamus already booked for a rematch against Big Show at Survivor Series on Nov. 18, this could be the set up for what's to come later.
Or it could be a placeholder. We shall see.
