Hulk Hogan sex tape story takes a bizarre turn

Just days ago, Gawker released a short video clip they put together of the Hulk Hogan sex tape that has been making the rounds lately. The footage is what it is, a black-and-white clip with Heather Clem, the ex-wife of Bubba the Love Sponge, getting down and dirty with "The Hulkster."

Actually, it almost looks like a security tape.

All along, Hogan and his lawyer have maintained they were unaware that Hulk was being taped and he's extremely upset that video has hit the Internet. They've apparently threatened Gawker with legal action if the video is not taken down and remained vehement in their stance that they will do whatever it takes to protect Hogan against this tape and its contents getting leaked all over the Internet.

It's a little late for that now.

The story recently took a turn for the bizarre when TMZ revealed extra footage from the tape. After Hogan leaves, Bubba comes into the room and talks to Heather about what just occurred, saying "If we ever did want to retire, all we'd have to do is use this footage."

Heather reportedly says that would never happen and Bubba seemingly agrees.

Hogan actually called into TMZ Live and was told about the development. His response was to say "I'm sick to my stomach right now." This all comes after Hogan appeared on the Howard Stern show and said he's still good friends with Bubba and they had talked recently about the situation.

But the Wrestling Observer tells us not to believe everything we hear and read:

Hogan was kayfabing. Someone very close to the situation told us earlier that Hogan was going to take legal action, but that he did know exactly the chain of custody of the tape. The source, who knows both extremely well, said "Bubba is the biggest piece of shit in the world."

Going back to his appearance with Stern, Hogan said the tape is six years old and it's ruining his life at the worst possible time. By that he means, he had finally got himself together after the nasty divorce with Linda and now this happens to him. All throughout the interview, Hogan swore up and down he didn't know anything about being taped and he's really upset about the situation.

What was really interesting, though, was Hogan saying they had talked about him having sex with Heather for two full years before it ever actually went down. According to Hulk, she really wanted it to happen and wouldn't stop pestering him about it.

Now, all these years later, a tape is leaked and it's ruined Hogan's world, but there's some kayfabing going on and it's getting increasingly difficult to know who to believe anymore.

With Hogan, you just never know.

But hey, at least he got some promotion for Bound for Glory in.
