Bully Ray teams with Sting against Aces and 8s at Bound for Glory

Although the heel vs. babyface dynamic is getting a bit mixed up here, Hulk Hogan made the call to choose Bully Ray to team with Sting to take on Aces and 8s at Bound for Glory.

ImpactWrestling.com

Early in the Oct. 4, 2012, episode of Impact Wrestling, TNA booked Joey Ryan vs. Al Snow at the Bound for Glory pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., Oct. 14 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Later, a partner was found for Sting to team up to take on Aces and 8s in a marquee match on the card, the biggest of the year for the company.

That man is Bully Ray.

It wasn't supposed to be, at least not in storyline. Hulk Hogan, the man tasked with making the decision, originally called out Mr. Anderson to award him the honors but he was attacked by the invading group of rule breakers. Hogan called for help and Samoa Joe showed up to check on him.

It was then that Ray hit the ring to try to convince Sting to convince Hogan to put him in. After some prodding, that's what happened.

Obvious set up is obvious.

It seems clear Ray will be revealed as the inside man Bobby Roode was talking about a while back and he will likely cost TNA the match at Bound for Glory, allowing Aces and 8s access to the Impact Wrestling Zone in Orlando once again.

Unless, of course, TNA knows we know this is where it's heading and they switch things up for a swerve.

Stay tuned.
