TNA IMPACT WRESTLING RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR OCT. 25
C.J. taking the reigns tonight, folks.
Recap of last week's Impact Wrestling.
Broadcast is live.
We open with Hulk Hogan and Jeff Hardy in Hogan's office. Hardy is holding both versions of the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Hogan wants to hear if Hardy is ready his title defense tonight.
Hardy: "They'll be in for the fight of their lives"
Jeff leaves the office and walks backstage, an inner-monologue playing about each of his potential opponents
"They all have a weakness. I just have to find it."
Umm...That was kind of weird
---------------
Rob Van Dam vs. Zema Ion for the X Division Championship
An RVD chant fills the Impact Zone as we start. Both men lock up, searching for an opening. Zema gets a quick 1-count, but RVD kicks out. They separate for a moment, but again quickly lock up. RVD gets a guerilla press on Ion, and drops the former X Division Champion to the mat
Zema rolls to the outside for a breather.
RVD goes to meet him, and gets pulled into the barricade. Both men back inside before Zema throws RVD out of the ring. Zema with a dive over the top rope into RVD. Zema pulls RVD inside the ring, and hits a spinning DDT for a 2-count. RVD is quick to get up, though, and lands a kick that lays Zema out.
RVD hits a Rolling Thunder and a Frog Splash, and that is good for the three count.
Rob Van Dam retains.
----------------
A wild Matt Morgan and Joey Ryan suddenly appear and lay RVD out in the middle of the ring.
Morgan grabs the mic and warns us that we will be seeing some changes in the Impact Zone.
Can't wait!
----------------
Austin Aries backstage, pissed off at the ass kissing Hogan is receiving. He does his Aries thing, and we go to commercial.
Christopher Daniels and Kazarian enter the ring. Daniels is holding a clipboard and telling the crowd to be quiet.
They are being quite rude.
Kazarian tells us that they are the victim of a "good old fashion conspiracy." Hogan apparently had altered Kazarain's travel plans to keep him out of Orlando last week.
A strong "You Suck" chant coming from the TNA faithful.
Kazarain "Our titles were taken from us illegally, by people who are probably in this country illegally."
Those are some harsh words.
Daniels wonders why every other title is on the line tonight, but the best tag team in the Biz-Nee-Us don't get their rematch. Daniels tells us that Chavo knows how to get the fans to cheer by dropping his family members names, and that Dixie Carter is so desperate to court a latin audience that she will do anything to keep the belts on the hispanic tag team.
Daniels to Chavo and Hernandez: "Why don't you call yourself Dos Steryotypicos?"
Awesome. Racist. But awesome.
Daniels starts to pass a petition around, trying to get fans to sign demanding a title match. No one signs it.
Chavo and Hernandez come down the ramp. Chavo asks who needs help signing a petition. He tells Daniels and Kazarian that nothing would make them happier than having a rematch. Chavo and Hernandaz chase the former champions out of the ring, and sign the petition.
Looks like we have ourselves a rematch.

Hogan's office, with Hogan, Kurt Angle, Bully Ray, Mr. Anderson, and James Storm all there. Each wrestler is given 5 seconds to state their case.
Storm: "It's my time!"
Bully: "I'm steaming about Devon being revealed as part of Aces and 8s!"
Angle: "I'm not injured, and this is my first chance since last year"
Anderson: "I don't know what you want to hear. You wan't me to grovel at your feet?"
Mr. Anderson going the reverse psycology route, but Hogan isn't buying it. He's the first to get bounced.
Aries is outside, waiting for Mr. Anderson. Aries tells Anderson that it is Aries who is a bigger asshole. Anderson does not take kindly to this, and a brawl starts in the hallway. Anderson gets the upper hand and leaves Aries crawling away. Aries demands a match for tonight, and Anderson accepts.
Devon and Aces and 8s in a secret room. Devon is telling that that under no circumstances should the masks come off.
Seriously. Don't take the masks off. Okay guys?
Devon then informs the group that he has some "ladies" available, but first the group needs to take someone out. He throws a dart at a board with the entire roster on it. We don't see who the dart lands on, but the group cheers.
Robbie T vs. Samoa Joe for the Television Championship
The pair quickly locks up, and Joe delivering a pair of chops across the chest. Robbie no sells it and takes control. He throws Joe into the corner. Joe tries to fight out with a couple of hard punches. He runs into the rope, but Robbie lands a spin kick and takes control again. Robbie with the choke, but Joe manages to escape and locks in a rear choke hold. Robbie fights him off, but Joe locks it in again.
Repeat. Repeat one more time.
Robbie falls to the ground, trying to get Joe to break his hold. Joe manages to hold on though, and Robbie is quick to tap.
Samoa Joe retains via submission.
Recap of Tara's victory over Miss Tessmacher at Bound For Glory.
Miss Tessmacher backstage, talking about how excited she is for her rematch. She's like, super excited you guys!
Hogan's office again with Angle, Bully, and Storm. Hogan asks Angle if Bully is focused on the world title. Angle says that all that is going through Bully's mind is his brother's betrayal, and Storm agrees. Bully also agrees, and volunteers to step aside in order to find and fight his brother tonight.
That seemed silly.
Mr. Anderson yelling at a poor producer, telling him to get Aries.
They will be fighting next!
Austin Aries vs. Mr. Anderson
Aries gets Anderson into the corner but is pushed off by the ref. Aries delivers a push, but Anderson gives it right back. Anderson gets the former TNA Champion on the ground delivering hard rights and lefts.
Aries rolls out of the ring.
They lock up again, and Aries tries to shove a pair of brass knuckles into Anderson's tights. Anderson walks to the corner, looking bewildered. The ref grabs the knuckles, and Aries tries to take advantage by striking Anderson in the back of the head.
Anderson is quick to strike back, though. He lands a few punches before Aries is able to counter. He locks Anderson in a headlock and tosses him out of the ring. Aries is quick to follow up with a suicide dive as we go to commercial.
We come back with Aries in control of the matchup. He sends Anderson from ring post to ring posts followed by a hard strike to the head.
An "Anderson" chant breaks out in the Impact Zone.
Aries lands a big chop, but Anderson answers back with one of his own. He seems to have gained momentum, throwing Aries from post to post. Anderson tries to charge him but Aries is quick to get the foot up.
They exchange blows back and forth, with Anderson hitting a swinging neck breaker. A kick to the head sends Aries through the ropes. Anderson is quick to follow over the top rope. He pulls Aries back inside and gets the 2 count.
Anderson tries to get Aries in a firemans carry, but Aries grabs the ref. Aries sneaks the brass knuckles from the ref. Anderson manages to duck out of the way. Aries tosses the weapon to Anderson and the ref sees it. Anderson tries to plead his innocese. It seems like the ref will believe him.
As the ref turns his back, though, Aries pulls a second pair of brass knuckles out. A single pop to the jaw and Anderson is out cold. Aries pulls Anderson on top of him, though, and the ref counts for two. Aries locks in the Last Chancery. The ref raises Anderson's arm, but he's out cold.
Aries gets the win.
Brooke, Tara and Jessie. Tara is complaining about ODB hitting on her beau.
Understandable.
Taz and Tenay take their places at the announcers booth.
Tara vs. Miss Tessmacher for the Knockout Championship
Tessmacher on the attack early. A few strong kicks and a quick two count. Tara tries to crawl to Jessie, but Tara is having none of it. Tessmacher slams the Knockout champion's head into the ground and follows it up with a few boots into the corner.
Jessie takes off his shirt and...umm...well he distracted Tessmacher with his amazing body.
Tara is quick to take advantage. She returns the favor by slamming Miss Tessmacher's head into the mat. Tara than gives Jessie a quick kiss before dragging Tessmacher's body to the ropes. A longer kiss, and a failed summersault over the top rope.
Tessmacher takes control. A few elbows off the rope. A toss into the corner. An ass shake in the face of Tara. Then a cooter shake in the face of Tara. She runs the ropes, but Jessie is there to pull them down. He tosses her back into the ring, and Tara hits the Widow's Peak for three.
Tara retains.
And makes out with Jessie.
Now Brooke Hogan is out to ruin the moment. She tells Tara that next week is Open Fight Night, and ODB wants to challenge....Jessie.
I love TNA sometimes.
----------------
Joseph Park barges into Hogan's office. He wants to know why Hogan has not given him an opportunity to challenge Aces & 8s. He hands Hogan a piece of paper, which indemnifies everyone in case Park gets injured. Hogan tells Park that he will think about it.
Bully Ray to the ring. He thanks Sting for allowing him the opportunity to be his partner at Bound For Glory. He says not many things shock him any more, but when Devon was revealed to be part of Aces and 8s, he was totally shocked.
"I. Want. To. Know. Why. You. Did. What. You. Did."
Out comes Devon with Aces and 8s in tow. Devon asks Bully if he wants to know why he did what he did.
"You and I are no longer a team. You and I are no longer family. You and I are nothing."
A "What" chant breaks out, followed by a "You sold out" chant. Because why not.
Devon says that this all has to do with Hogan. Hogan did nothing when Devon's contract came up. It was Aces and 8s who picked him up when he was down. Devon promises that they will take out each and every person that has done them wrong. He tells Bully to go home, and that he is not even a threat anymore.
Bully: "This is over when I say its over."
Bully is redder than a sunburnt tomato. He tells Devon that they should have retired two years ago when they hit their finisher against the Motor City Machine Guns. No one, no one from WWE, ECW, Japan, no one has ever kicked out of their finishing move. But MCMG kicked out.
Backstage, after the match, Devon looked at Bully and said "what are you so upset about? We're rich. Who cares about the idiot fans."
Devon does not deny it, and in fact confirms his hatred for the fans.
Bully tells Devon to make his goons leave, and lets fight it out right here and now.
Devon: "No. It's not on your time. It's on my time. For now, I'm going home."
The gang heads out of the ring. Bully calls Devon a coward, and that next week he is being called out for Open Fight Night.
----------------
Matt Morgan and Joey Ryan backstage, where they are asked why they attacked RVD. Ryan says that the rules don't apply to them. He wonders if he should have some X Division gold around his waist. Morgan follows by telling Hogan that he will be doing what he wants, when he wants, and he dares Hogan to stop him.
Preview for next week's Gut Check contestant.
Hogan, Angle, and Storm backstage. Hogan gives the title shot to Angle. He tells Storm not to worry, that he has something huge in store for him.
Christy Hemme with the introductions. Mix of cheers and boos for both men.
Jeff Hardy vs. Kurt Angle for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship
They lock up in the middle of the ring. Angle with the headlock. Hardy pushes him off and lands the arm drag. Hardy locks in Angle's arm. Angle fights to get up, but Hardy throws him into the rope, arm drag, and locks in Angles arm again. A claw to the eyes gets Angle free.
Dueling "Let's go Hardy / Let's go Angle" chants.
Angle lands a few punches in the corner. Hardy is able to reverse, gets a hard boot and a two count. Hardy drops the legs on Angles lower regions and another two count. Hardy tries to climb the ropes. Angle is quick to get up, though, and leaves Hardy straddling the top rope. He falls to the outside as we go to commercial.
Back from commercial with Hardy in a headlock. Hardy manages to fight to his feet, before a duel clothesline sends both men to the ground.
Hardy is the first to get up. Clothesline, toss into the corner, and a headscissors to send Angle outside. Hardy follows with a dive. He struggles to get up, but manages to toss Angle back into the ring. He lands a Whisper in the Wind and it's good for a two count.
Hardy tries to hit a Twist-O, but Angle gets out of it and lands the triple suplex. It's good for a two count. Angle tries to hit the Angle Slam, but Hardy reverses into a Twist-O-Fate. Hardy to the top rope, but quick as a cat Angle is up there. A toss to the mat gets Angle a two count. Angle lands a powerbomb, and gets another two count. Angle locks in the Ankle Lock, but Hardy rolls through.
A kick to the chest puts Angle on his rear end. Hardy goes to the top rope for the Swanton, but Angle moves out of the way. Angle hits the Angle Slam, and gets one more two count.
Angle pulls Hardy by his hair and tries to lock in the suplex. Hardy reverses, hits a Twist-O, throws Angle into the ropes, hits a second Twist-O, goes to the tope rope, hits the Swanton.
All that for a two count.
Both men struggle to get up. Angle, bleeding from the mouth, has enough strength to throw Hardy over the top rope. Straps come down. Angle tries to lock in the suplex, but Hardy gets a sunset flip and roll up for three.
Hardy retains.
----------------
Austin from out of no where lays Hardy out. He informs us that he will be invoking his rematch clause at Turning Point.
And he walks out of the Impact Zone with the real TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
----------------
Devon with Aces and 8s beating the crap out of Angle backstage.
Fade to black.
