WWE 'NXT' Review: Oct. 10, 2012 edition

The WWE NXT Championship is on the line this week as champion Seth Rollins takes on Michael McGillicutty in the main event. In addition, WWE Champion CM Punk is in the house. All that and more on this week's episode of NXT.

WWE NXT came to us just a few days ago (Oct. 10) and featured a championship bout in the main event. WWE NXT Champion Seth Rollins took on Michael McGillicutty in the main event. WWE Champion CM Punk came to commentate on this match, emphasizing respect and encouraging Rollins to go make his presence felt inside the ring.

And Rollins did just that, defeating McGillicutty to retain his title.

In other action, Leo Kruger gave Dante Dash a rude welcome to the not-so-friendly confines of the NXT Arena. The son of "I.R.S." Mike Rotunda, Bo Dallas, took on Johnny Curtis and defeated the former NXT veteran.

There was also a Divas match that featured a great bit of wrestling, far from the standard fare that is featured on Raw and SmackDown each week. NXT Divas Paige and Audrey Marie pulled a bit of an upset on regulars Kaitlyn and Alicia Fox.

Oh, and check out Briley Pierce, the NXT interviewer. He is an interesting talent, being an author and brother of a certain show-off that graces us each week on WWE TV.

As usual, you should find some time to catch NXT. The combination of actual wrestling and newcomers provides a bit of an excitement and change of pace from the usual weekly grind. Combined with a great crowd in a cozy atmosphere, NXT might become one of your favorite shows each week.
