Last night (Sun., Jan. 29, 2012) Chris Jericho was the last man eliminated from the Royal Rumble match by the winner, Sheamus. It was quite the surprise for pro wrestling fans across the Internet, many of whom expected Jericho to win just as soon as he eliminated Randy Orton.
After all, he did promise "the end of the world as we know it."
But we never really got a payoff on that, did we? Or maybe we did and we just don't know it yet. Thankfully, Y2J took to Twitter to let us know we're going to hear from him tonight on Raw:
"I've got something to say.... #raw"
In a bit of foreshadowing, he was almost immediately responded to by WWE Champion CM Punk, who retained his title last night in a win over Dolph Ziggler.
"I wonder if anybody has anything to say tonight?"
We still don't know for sure if these two are actually going to feud leading to a match-up at WrestleMania 28, though that's what's been reported everywhere under the sun. We now know, however, that Jericho will be a part of the Raw Elimination Chamber match challenging for Punk's WWE championship alongside Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, The Miz and R-Truth.
I'm sure there are plenty of fantasy booking Cagesiders out there. Tell us how this thing is going to play out tonight on Raw.
