This past Monday night on the Labor Day (Sept. 5) edition of Raw, Triple H fired Kevin Nash in a storyline continuation of their feud with each other that also involves CM Punk.
But now they've gone one step further and given him the "future endeavored" treatment, a full two days after the events of Raw. From WWE.com:
WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Kevin Nash as of Monday, Sept. 5, 2011. We wish Kevin the best in all future endeavors.
I took a long and detailed look at how WWE completely ruined its big money angle right here. It makes so little sense because it's Triple H's baby, the big angle he came back to Raw for and his first as a major on-screen character since losing to Undertaker at WrestleMania.
I thought it was bizarre that they would totally throw away the "who sent the text message" question with the worst possible answer -- Kevin Nash -- and deliver it in the worst possible manner -- in a throwaway segment without even promoting it -- but what really took the cake was firing Nash just weeks after hiring him. And not only that but doing so just one week after he said his contract was guaranteed and he didn't care if he got let go because it would mean sitting home and collecting checks.
Those are storyline issues and I'm sure posting this item on the company's official website is no different. Still, this entire program went from being potentially explosive and full of intrigue to dead in the water.
CM Punk was right. "Kliq" really is the sound our remotes make as we change the channel. And we know because that's exactly what we're all doing.
