BFG Series semi-final: Bully Ray def. James Storm

Jesse Sorenson def. Kid Kash

Sergio here to get this thing rolling.

Kid Kash vs. Jesse Sorenson

Quick action to start. The years have not be kind to Kash. I barely recognized him at first.

Hard irish whip to the buckle and Kash is connecting with some brutal kicks and knees. Release brainbuster from Kash gets a two. Good gawd, that looked gnarly.

Kash has Sorenson in the corner and delivers a huge slap. More kicks and Kash is getting mouth. Sorenson starts to build some momentum and a big dropkick gets a two count.

Sorenson tries to go for something in the middle but a weird reversal nearly leads to a Russian leg sweep from Kash. Sorenson slips out and hits a running neckbreaker. Sorenson hops to the top rope and hits a cross body splash for two.

Kash back in the driver's seat. He gets a little handsy with the referee who doesn't play with that mess. Kash gets to the top and botches a corkscrew moonsault. I'm surprised Sorenson doesn't have a concussion from that. Two count for that.

Sorenson nails a big move -- possibly his finisher? -- and gets the three count and become the number one contender for the X-Division title.

Winner: Sorenson via pinfall

Kurt Angle and Hulk Hogan are backstage with Jeremy Borash bitching about the main event for tonight where Angle has to take on both Sting AND Mr. Anderson

Bound for Glory series semi-final match: James Storm vs. Bully Ray

Christy Hemme still does it for me.

Bully Ray is such a great heel. He refuses to engage with Storm, takes it outside and rips up a fan's sign. Just classic heel stuff. The classics never die!

Bully Ray is stalking the outside, rolls in at 5, and then rolls back out. The fans start to chant "Pu-ssy Ray." Those clever turnips.

Ray finally is able to sneak attack Storm and begins working over his opponent's back. Forearms to the small of the back, hard whips into the turnbuckle.

Storm ducks under a clothesline in the corner and hits two arm drags and immediately goes for an armbar. The 10 points for a submission win would help ensure Storm's victory in the Bound for Glory series.

Geez, how convoluted are these rules?

Storm working over Ray's arm something fierce. Wrist locks, armbars, the whole shebang. Ray counters the armbar with a pin a couple of times, the second time forcing Storm to break the hold.

He follows Ray to the outside and slams his arm against the steps but gets tripped up on the apron and eats a mouthful of canvas.

Ray takes a swig from Storm's beer and brings in a FOREIGN OBJECT~! in full view of the referee. So while the referee is taking care of the weapon, Storm gets an eyeful of booze! Nice!

A hard chop in the corner and Ray screams, "Now I'm gonna beat you with the Bubba Bomb, bitch!" Taz responds, "Subtle." Oh, Taz, you still got it.

Bubba Bomb is countered into an armbar but Ray reaches the ropes. Storm slaps on a Sharpshooter! IS HE GONNA TAP??

Ray reaches the ropes again and Storm slaps on a Fujiwara armbar but Ray counters with a pin. Storm takes a pull from his beer but hits the referee! The ref is blind! Storm hits the armbar and Ray taps! The referee calls for the bell!

Storms wins, Storm wins, Storm... wait, what? Storm LOSES by disqualification! OH NO!

Winner: Bully Ray via disqualification

And I guess Bully Ray wins the BFG series now? Oh, okay. At worst, Ray will tie for first now.

Video montage covering Winter's weirdo lesbo infatuation with Angelina Love. Luckily, they keep Karen Angle's voice to about three seconds. That still three seconds too much. She is the worst.

TNA Knockouts Championship match: Mickie James (c) vs. Winter w/ Angelina Love

James comes out dressed like Wonder Woman. I'll always appreciate a DC Comics reference.

Winter attacks before the bell but James is able to come out on top with a top rope attack. James heads to the outside and tangles with Love and then whips Winter into the stairs. James slams her opponent's head into the guard rail but Winter's nefarious tactics give her the upper hand.

James begins to get the upper hand but Love distracts her and Winter once again puts herself in charge. Winter working her over with some nice submissions. Nice spinning backbreaker from Winter.

James starting to build some momentum after a couple of clotheslines and a flapjack. Two count for James. Winter misses a head kick and James slaps on a single crab/Texas Cloverlead sort of thing.

Love gets the Knockouts title to Winter who tries to clobber James but misses. Earl Hebner takes the belt away and James nearly gets a three count. James gets Winter to the corner and and looks to hit a tornado DDT but Love pulls her buddy out.

James hits a Thesz Press off the apron and James chases Love to the back. James runs back in to avoid the countdown but Love is close behind. Winter tosses Hebner to the mat. Winter spits out blood but James moves! Love is bloody!

James spins Winter around and gets a mouthful of blood as well! How much blood does that German have in her mouth anyway?!?! Three count! New champ!

Winner and NEW TNA Knockouts champion: Winter def. Mickie James

Gunner is backstage with JB and says he's going to headlines Bound for Glory. Bully Ray comes out and tells him what's what.

TNA Tag Team Championships match: Mexican America (c) vs. Devon and D'Angelo Dinero

Devon and Anarquia to start off. Devon and Pope are making quick tags and working over the co-champ's arm.

Anarquia gets a reprieve and is able to tag in Hernandez but the tag champ finds himself in the same situation his partner was in seconds earlier. Finally, one of Mexican America's ladies hops up on the apron and gets mouthy. Trust me, you don't want to get one my female peeps getting mouthy with ya.

Dinero heads out and gives her a big ol' smacker. This distraction allows Mexican America to gain the advantage.

Pope gets the hot tag and is going nuts all over the place. He's feeling the mojo as he takes out both members of the tag team champs. Cross body splash gets a two but Hernandez breaks the pin up.

A big splash from the top rope puts Hernandez in the driver's seat. He opts to not pin and a double team is broken up by Devon. The challengers clean house and the ladies make their way inside. The challengers grab one each and we have dual stereo spankings!

Anarquia ends up on top of Dinero and one of the chicas locas holds Dinero's leg down to ensure the pin. Those filthy cheaters!

Winners and STILL TNA Tag Team champions: Mexican America

Ken Anderson backstage giving one of his horrible promos. I really don't like his work on the mic. Is it just me?

Matt Morgan vs. Samoa Joe

Man, Joe used to be so damn awesome.

Hard chops in the corner from each wrestler. Morgan draps Joe across the ropes and leg lariats him over the top rope. Ring apron leg drop from Morgan and then he shoves Joe's back against the apron.

Joe gets an eye rake and uses it to take control. Suicide dive connects perfectly. Vintage Joe.

Joe gets Morgan to the inside and takes control but Morgan is able to slam Joe's head on the top turnbuckle. "The Blueprint" heads to the top and a cross body splash gets a two count.

Joe is able to get back in control and begins to work over Morgan's arm.

Morgan a couple of punches and then a body avalanche in the corner. Sidewalk slam gets a two count. GOOZLE~! But Joe gets a thumb in Morgan's eye to break it up. Weird sequence where Joe bounces off the ropes and hits an awkward belly to belly suplex.

Joe slaps on the Coquina Clutch in the middle of the ring and then drags Morgan to ground, grapevine one of Morgan's arms. But Morgan is able to get a foot on the bottom rope.

Morgan hits a big boot and gets the three count! Crowd goes nuts while Joe festers in the ring.

Winner: Morgan via pinfall

Bobby Roode and James Storm are backstage with JB. Roode needs a submission to tie for first in the BFG series.

Bound for Glory series semi-final match: Bobby Roode vs. Gunner

Crowd firmly behind homegrown talent Roode.

Some decent mat wrestling to start. It's the fundamentals, people!

Gunner is able to pull Roode to the outside and gets the upper hand until he charges towards the Beer Money member and gets a shoulder full of ringpost.

Roode nearly gets dropped on his head and Gunner takes over, working over Roode's neck. Remember when Roode was doing the Rick Rude thing? That was cool. Although, I'm a huge Rick Rude mark.

Leg scissors from Gunner gets broken up by a foot on the rope. Roode tries to get a short armbar on Gunner powers out of it and nails Roode with some punches. Gunner gives the arm Roode has been working over a couple of slaps and I golf clap the psychology.

Then Gunner slaps on a full nelson and I wish could my take clap back. Roode gets out of the hold but forcing Gunner into the top turnbuckle and the two begin exchanging in the middle of the ring.

Gunner to the head and Roode to the arm. Nice. Roode slaps on an armbar but Gunner gets out. He charges Roode and eats a huge spinebuster!

Roode gets an armbar on but Gunner is able to get to the ropes. Roode waits until the three count from the referee to break the hold. Nice. Gunner is able to get Roode in the corner and Roode eats a knee.

Gunner tries to hit a gutbuster but Roode corners into an armbar. Gunner reaches for the ropes and nearly makes but Roode drags him to the center of the ring and gets a crossface in and Gunner is forced to tap!

Winner: Roode via submission

Bully Ray is not going to be happy.

Eric Bischoff is out and says that it'll be Roode and Bully Ray tonight to settle the score.

Aries backstage with JB. This match should be fan-freakin'-tastic.

TNA X-Division title match: Brian Kendrick (c) vs. Austin Aries

Both wrestlers are going back and forth with the counters and reversals and the reversing the counters. Aries makes his way to the outside to collect himself.

They go to lock up but Aries hit a knee to the gut. Side headlock from Aries gets broken when he's sent to the ropes but a shoulder block puts Kendrick on his back.

A couple of arm drags from Aries but he finds himself locked in a head scissors. He counters with a dropkick and then two go back and forth.

Kendrick goes for Sliced Bread #2 but Aries rolls to the outside. Kendrick misses with a baseball slide but hits an elbow and sends Aries crashes into the guard rail twice. Aries gets back in charge by shoving Kendrick into the ring post and and then Russian leg sweeps the back of Kendrick's head into it! Very sweet spot.

Back in the ring and Kendrick eats an elbow off an irish whip. A huge elbow drop leads to a weird head and leg submission. Aries transitions to a head scissors but Kendrick begins fighting back. Gutbuster/STO combination looks great and buts Kendrick on his back.

Pendulum elbow drop misses but Aries still manages to get the champ in the corner. Kendrick gets a boot up and nails Aries as he rushes in. Suicide dive from Aries connects perfectly. Kendrick up to the top and hits a missile dropkick for two.

Kendrick goes for Sliced Bread but gets thrown to the outside and it looked nasty. Draped along the guard rail, Aries goes for a suicide dive and crashes jaw-first into the rail. An appropriate "holy shit" chant from the audience.

Back in the ring and the two are going blow for blow. Kendrick off the ropes but Aries sidesteps and the champ spills out onto the floor. Aries slingshots over and botches a corkscrew plancha.

A back elbow in the corner gets a two for Aries and the champ tries three quick roll-ups, none of which work. A Roaring Elbow from Aries leads to a draping DDT but Kendrick kicks out at two!

Aries at the top but Kendrick rolls out of the way. Aries catches him and charges back but gets thrown in the corner. Close call on the ref bump but Aries stops himself. Pinning the referee in the corner, Aries hits a low blow that goes unseen and nails a brainbuster for three! New champ!

Winner and NEW TNA X-Division champion: Austin Aries via pinfall

Bully Ray backstage talking about destiny and neck injuries and Philly and stuff.

Bound for Glory series final match: Bully Ray vs. Bobby Roode

The two wrestlers jaw each other in the ring to start off with. Ray begins pulling the same stunts he did against Roode's partner earlier in the night.

Ray stalking the outside and grab's some random dude's hat. The guy stands up and is huge and Ray throws the hat back.

Roode gets an arm drag and Ray is back to the outside. Another arm drag and Ray slams the mat and sulks in the corner. "Bob-by Roode" chant starts. Ray with a big chop and Roode no-sells it. Roode flips Ray some birdage and the crowd loves it. Another chop, another no-sell. Roode slaps Ray across the face!!

A hard clothesline sends Ray back to the outside. The two exchange offense and Roode slaps on a crossface and upon the break tells his opponent he was "this close" to winning.

Some hard chops from Roode send Ray to the corner. A couple of punches land and an irish whip from Roode is reversed. Hot shot followed by a neckbreaker but Ray back in control.

A body splash from Ray gets two. Ray slaps Roode across the face sending him to the corner. A couple of hard chops and Roode seems to be Roodeing Up!

Roode tells him to bring it on. Roode begins to open up and the go start going nuts on each other. Ray screams at him, "Fight back, Roode, fight back!"

Roode gets thrown into the corner but gets a boot up and hits a flying neckbreaker for two.

Side slam from Ray gets two. Roode gets dropped again but Ray can only get two. Ray gets to the second rope and misses a splash and Roode hits a spinebuster for... three? Really?

Winner and BFG series winner: Bobby Roode via pinfall

That finish was quick and weird. Roode will challenge for the championship next month at Bound for Glory.

Backstage segment with Rosita talking about losing her father during the 9/11 attacks 10 years ago. She says that he was an amateur wrestler and her inspiration to get into the business.

Video covering the Immortal feud with Angle and Anderson.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship title match: Kurt Angle (c) vs. Sting vs. Ken Anderson

I think it was Thomas Holzerman who pointed out that this is the second time Sting has co-opted a dead man's famous make-up job.

Of course, both Sting and Anderson go to work on Angle in the corner. Anderson whips Angle into the corner and hits a clothesline. Sting follows it with a Stinger Splash.

Sting holds Angle while Anderson goes to work and then they swap positions. Angle spills out to the outside and Anderson and Sting start to eyeball each other. They finally lock up and Anderson gets sent to the ropes and hit a shoulder block. Sting drops him on the second whip attempt and the work towards the corner.

Sting tries to second him across but gets reversed and Anderson takes over. Angle is in and Anderson is out. Sting goes to work on Angle. Man, the crowd is absolutely dead for this one.

Sting spills to the outside and Anderson sneaks in behind Angle and begins the attack. A couple of elbows leads to some mudhole stomping in the corner. Hard whip to the corner for a two count. Anderson hits a swinging neckbreaker and the ensuing pin attempt is broken up by Sting.

Sting starts to work Anderson over and gets behind him for a German suplex. Angle gets behind Sting and they both go up and over. Pretty cool spot there.

Sting ends up getting the advantage after Anderson once again goes to the outside. A Stinger Splash is followed by a DDT which gets a two after Anderson breaks it up.

Angle begins hitting multiple Germans on Anderson while Sting recovers. Angle then hits ze Germans on Sting and gets a two count. He then gets two on Anderson.

Angle going nuts on everyone and tries to hit an Angle Slam on Sting but gets dumped to the outside. Sting slaps on the Scorpion Deathlock on Anderson. He tries to get to the ropes but gets pulled back to the center.

Angle sneaks in and breaks up the hold and hits the Slam on Sting for 2.9. The champ tries to German Anderson but gets elbowed off. A punch from Anderson misses and Angle counters with the Slam. A two count!

Oh, no! The straps are down! Ankle lock on Sting!

Anderson breaks it up! HIts the Mic Check! 2.99999!!!

Sting reversed a death valley driver and gets pulled off by Angle! Sting gets thrown to the outside and Hogan is there! Mace or something in the eyes of Sting and the challenger is blind! Angle throws Anderson to the outside and Angle hits a low blow on Sting! Angle wins!

Winner and STILL TNA World Heavyweight Champion: Angle via pinfall

Angle and Hogan celebrate in the ring. It'll be Angle/Roode next month in Philly.
