Don't go away mad...

Troubled Diva Melina Perez was released today by WWE after a tumultuous tenure with the organization. She claims she will land on her pretty little feet but her increasingly bizarre rants and ravings make it difficult to assume as much.

Shortly after news broke that she was let go, her boyfriend, John Morrison, took to Twitter to give his thoughts on the situation. And it's about as bland, biased and controlled as you should expect.

"I've always believed that Melina is the most talented Diva ever employed by World Wrestling Entertainment. (not to mention the hottest!) Her face conveys emotion. Vince McMahon likes to say "Television is a feeling" and I agree with him. That's what Sports Entertainment is all about. Melina's presence on Television, aside from the obvious (she be sexy!) is raw emotion- joy, rage, surprise, disgust... her passion just pours out of her. Melina's presence on Monday Night Raw will be missed by the WWE universe... and especially by me. I think this is the end of a chapter in the book of @RealMelina - I met Melina on my audition for Tough Enough 3, I never forgot the smile, and hug she gave me when I made the show and she got cut and told to go home. I've stood next to her with Joey while MNM was yelled at; told we'd never make it, we were worthless. I've seen her come back from 2 career threatening injuries. She is one of a kind, and talented enough to do whatever she wants. I'm proud to be her man. I love her, and will support whatever she chooses to do next."

His continued loyalty to his damsel in distress would be admirable if it wasn't so detrimental to his career. In fact, his opener, that Melina is the most talented Diva ever employed by WWE (and the hottest!), could very much be seen as a backhanded shot at Trish Stratus.

If you don't know the back story click here, but the short version is that Morrison was given a nice little push and placed into a program with Stratus, who wanted to work with him. Instead of taking that opportunity and running with it, Morrison elected to follow his girlfriends orders and treated Trish as though she was infected with a contagious deadly disease at WrestleMania.

Stratus later essentially called him stupid for doing such a thing and stunting his own career growth. Which looks even more stupid now that Melina is gone and Morrison is returning earlier than he should be from neck problems.

Women.

After the jump is a short audio clip an emotional Melina released on her website.
