This week's edition of WWE Friday Night Smackdown, the last major show before SummerSlam on Sunday night (Aug. 14), was taped in Sacramento, California.
Here's the non-spoiler preview:
- Triple H opens the show making matches for the night and gets interrupted by Christian who has some SummerSlam demands.
- Sheamus vs. Christian.
- Beth Phoenix and Natalya vs. Kaitlyn and A.J.
- Sin Cara returns but is it the real Sin Cara? He's in action against Tyson Kidd.
- Alberto Del Rio vs. Daniel Bryan.
- Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson vs. Cody Rhodes for the title
- Mark Henry vs. Johnny Curtis (announced on the show)
- Randy Orton vs. Great Khali
The post-taping dark match was Randy Orton and Sheamus teaming up against Christian and Alberto Del Rio. By all accounts it was a fairly good show but nothing spectacular heading into SummerSlam.
