The UFC announced Thursday night that Anthony Johnson would no longer be headlining against Nate Marquardt at UFC Live on Versus 4. Johnson had to withdraw to a currently undisclosed injury.
Stepping to take Johnson's place will be Rick Story, who is coming off a win over Thiago Alves at UFC 130 just six days ago. Here was the official @ufc announcement tweet:
Big change to Pittsburgh card - Anthony Johnson injured, @NathanMarquardt will now face @Rick_Story in the main event!
The fight is the first UFC fight at 170 pounds for Marquardt, who has not yet publicly commented on the opponent change.
It will be interesting to see how well Story is able to do on such short notice. Here was his response to the news:
I am facing Nate Marquardt next! @UFC Live on the 26th Hell Yeah lets do it!
Live on Versus 4 will take place on June 26th at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
