 Preliminary Card (airing on HDNet)

Gesias "JZ" Cavalcante (155) vs. Justin Wilcox (156)
Magno Almeida (155) vs. Conor Heun (155)
Nah-Shon Burrell (179) vs. Joe Ray (180)
Mike Bronzoulis (170) vs. Todd Moore (169.5)
Brian Melancon (175) vs. Isaac Vallie-Flagg (170)

Items worth noting:

All fighters made weight. Melancon came in at 175, but the fight (vs. Vallie-Flagg) was apparently changed to a catchweight match.

Justin Wilcox came it one pound over and seemed very upset about it. He was asked to remove his shorts, and adamantly refused. During the shuffle, Wilcox, Coker and several other officials backed away from the scale, and the mics did not pick up what was said. No explanation was given later.

After the weigh-ins, Ron Kruck did an interview with Strikeforce President Scott Coker. The exchange was awkward as Coker clearly was not excited to talk about Nick Diaz's recent exodus from the promotion to become a full time UFC fighter. When Kruck tried to pursue the topic (bringing up Gilbert Melendez and Alistair Overeem), Coker changed the subject back to the Grand Prix, and looked like he immediately had somewhere else to be. Business as usual.

At the end of the broadcast, Kenny "How Did I Get This Job?" Rice made an attempt to give a 'shout-out' to all the dads with Father's Day approaching. I'm not sure how the comment lined up in his brain, but this is what his mouth said: "Happy Birthday to all you guys who think you might be dads." Happy Birthday, eh Kenny? It isn't easy being the P4P worst in the business. Tip of the cap again to you, sir.

The prelims start tomorrow at 8pm on HDNet. The main card begins at 10pm on Showtime.
