Dana White on Brock Lesnar's Surgery and When We Can Expect Him Back in Action

During Saturday night's UFC 130 Spike prelims, Dana White gave the fans an update on ex-heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar and his recovery from diverticulitis.

According to Dana, Brock had surgery on Friday, and had 12 inches of his colon removed. The surgery was performed at the Mayo Clinic.

Lesnar's is said to be out for the rest of the year, and looking to return sometime early 2012.

Earlier in the month, Lesnar was forced to withdraw from his UFC 131 bout with Junior dos Santos due to his second bout with the illness. Shane Carwin will be filling in for Brock to fight Junior, and the winner will take on Cain Velasquez for the championship, likely to occur sometime this Fall.
