For some time now, it has been known that Antônio Rodrigo "Big Nog" Nogueira would be fighting on his native soil of Brazil at UFC 134 in August. His opponent has been unclear, that is, until today when the UFC announced that Nogueira would be taking on Brendan Schaub. The TUF Season 10 Alum had been requesting to fight Nogueira, and finally got his wish Monday afternoon.

Brendan Schaub is on a current hot streak, winning his last four fights in a row. "The Hybrid" has notable wins against Mirko Cro Cop and Gabriel Gonzaga, but is looking to get to the next echelon of UFC heavyweights with a win over Nogueira.

"Big Nog" is coming off of a tough knockout loss to current HW Champ Cain Velasquez, and has lost 2 of his last 3 fights. Nogueira was, at one time, the PRIDE Heavyweight Champion. He also briefly held the UFC Interim HW belt after beating Tim Sylvia in 2008, then later losing the belt to Frank Mir.

As it currently stands, UFC 134 (which will be held in Rio de Janeiro) will include six fights featuring a Brazilian fighter.

The main event, Silva vs. Okami, is a rematch of a fight that saw Yushin Okami win via disqualification (by way of an illegal upkick by Silva). "The Spider" will look to avenge the only loss he has suffered in over five years.
