Melina Continues To Blight The WWE Career Of Her Boyfriend John Morrison

The latest subscribers only Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter broke the gossip that poor John Morrison's promising career is continuing to be blighted by the behaviour of his long term girlfriend Melina.  Letting Melina's petty jealousy get in the way of his on screen performance, Morrison treated Trish Stratus like she had a contagious deadly disease in their WrestleMania post match victory celebration with Snooki after vanquishing their opponents Dolph Ziggler and Laycool.  You see, Melina somehow blamed Trish for stealing her WrestleMania spot, despite recently turning heel and being the victim of a dreaded Twitter burial when she publicly complained about being temporarily dumped by Morrison in the New Year, which means that she would have never been chosen for Trish's spot in that match anyway.  So Morrison having to keep his girlfriend sweet had to make life difficult for the blame free Trish when laying out the match backstage and even when they were in front of the cameras together.  So don't be too surprised if Morrison's WWE push is soon put on the back burner again due to such ridiculously overt shenanigans aimed at someone in Trish who the company has a lot invested in as a Tough Enough trainer.

Soon after the gossip was broken, Trish confirmed it in delightfully backhanded fashion in an interview for the Busted Open satellite radio show:

I got a bit of cold shoulder action, correct.  John Morrison himself is amazing.  He’s a great athlete.  I was really looking forward to working with him.  I thought it would be cool if we could do some stuff together.  He didn’t think it would be that cool.  It happens.  Hey whatever.  It happens. 

You know he’s into his thing and just didn’t think that I should part of his thing I guess, but I still admire him as an athlete, as a performer.  I think he does a great job out there.

Cold shoulder?  Yeah I felt it.  I was shunned.  Some people are not smart maybe?  You know they wrestle well, but maybe they’re not smart.  I don’t know.

This isn't the first time Melina has blighted the career of her boyfriend John Morrison.  Similar to Chris Candido and Tammy "Sunny" Sytch, Morrison lost a lot of face in the locker room in the spring of 2006 for failing to break up with Melina after she had a not very discrete affair with a main event wrestler in Batista.  Moreover, Morrison never even physically confronted Batista over stealing his woman.  That may have been a wise short term job preservation move, but many former WWE creative team members have admitted that one of the main reasons Morrison has never been pushed past the mid card is that Vince McMahon has seen him as "p*ssy whipped" ever since.  His latest behaviour will have only enhanced the owner's perception of him, so any chances of upwards momentum later this year may have been dashed.  At least he's still got the hot girl I suppose.
