TMZ is reporting that as had been rumored, Chris Jericho will be competing on ABC's Dancing With The Stars in the upcoming season that begins on March 21st.  He will be teaming up with Cheryl Burke.  The other pairings revealed by TMZ are (listed "celebrity" first):

  • Lil' Romeo & Chelsie Hightower
  • Kendra Wilkinson & Louis van Amstel
  • Kirstie Alley & Maksim Chmerkovskiy
  • Wendy Williams & Tony Dovolani
  • Chelsea Kane & Mark Ballas

The full celebrity cast will be officially tonight during the broadcast of The Bachelor.

Jericho is in the middle of promoting his (excellent) book "Undisputed," which debuted on the New York Times' Best Seller list at #25 based solely on pre-orders.  He had previously appeared on ABC as the host of the game show "Downfall."  He has previous reality competition show experience on Fox's Celebrity Duets, where he was the first contestant eliminated.  In "Undisputed," he claims that the show was fixed.  He wasn't very good, though.

We shall see how well he adjusts to ballroom dancing and if he loses weight like most previous contestants have. I dunno if it's any indication of the former, but Burke tweeted this two hours ago:

Just finished day 1 of rehearsal! Love my new partner!
