Here's last night's (Fri., Dec. 30, 2011) episode of WWE Smackdown, which featured the Falls Count Anywhere match between Randy Orton and Wade Barrett. The video actually cuts out before they show the angle with Orton getting tossed down some concrete steps, which they did to explain his pending absence due to injury.
We still don't know exactly how long he'll be out, be it for six days, six weeks or six months, but considering the fact that both Mark Henry and Alberto Del Rio are legitimately hurting and unable to have anything resembling a match on TV, WWE has no incentive to run injury angles for no reason with main event level stars.
Sheamus, the jobber killer of late, is apparently going to be asked to pick up the slack but even with the monster push he's been given the past few months, I'm not sure it's fair to ask him to step in without missing a beat. It's really going to hurt Smackdown to have it's top babyface and top heel on the shelf.
And the show was doing so well for so long.
Other goodies from the show include Cody Rhodes attacking his brother, Dustin, better known to us as Goldust, which makes it look as though that WrestleMania match Goldust was on Twitter pining for could be coming to fruition. Count me in.
