WrestleMania 28, which is expected to be the biggest show in the history of the WWE and takes place on April 1, 2012, from Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida, is already breaking records.
WWE today announced that ticket sales have already shattered the record for first day gross, out-earning WrestleMania 25 in 2009:
WWE® announced today that first day ticket sales for WrestleMania XXVIII in Miami resulted in a record gross of $6.3 million, shattering the previous first day record of $4.8 million for the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania.
The ambitious plan to bring back The Rock to appear at WrestleMania 27 and parlay that into a match at 'Mania 28 against John Cena -- announced a full year beforehand -- is working wonderfully.
