Before I die, I would love to see at least one wrestling event at the Greensboro Coliseum. That place is thick with history and much like the Hammerstein Ballroom is associated with Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), the North Carolina venue can't be mentioned without thinking of Jim Crockett Promotions.
RIng of Honor (ROH) takes the building over this Sunday (Dec. 4) after making a stop down south in Spartanburg the night before (Dec. 3) for their last double shot of shows before their big internet pay-per-view (iPPV) event, Final Battle 2011. The final event of the year promises to be fantastic and Cageside will of course provide live blow-by-blow action as it happens. You can also watch along with us by ordering the event here.
Already scheduled for the show are two titles matches with World's Greatest Tag Team defending their straps against six-time ROH champs The Briscoe Brothers and the rubber match between ROH World Champion Davey Richards and former champ and tag partner Eddie Edwards. You can also expect TV champ Jay Lethal to likely defend against "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett and of course, the situation with Kevin Steen should come to a head a full year after it began.
But we're getting ahead of ourselves! The warriors of ROH have a packed weekend coming up and we've got all the juicy tidbits you could want.
Video and full line-up for this weekend's shows after the jump!
