My family got a computer in 1995 and it came pre-installed with programs like America Online and Prodigy. They were gateways to the internet and quite literally the rest of the world but I didn't know that nor did I really care. All I knew was that I could read about professional wrestling.
It was during this time that I became familiar with Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and names like Raven, Sabu, and Tommy Dreamer. It was also during this time that names like Mitsuharu Misawa, Kenta Kobashi, and Toshiaki Kawada entered my vocabulary.
King's Road pro wrestling is a favorite of mine and the Ganso Bomb is essentially that style of wrestling summed up in one brutal, career-threatening move.
Check it.
Absolutely freaking brutal. And to think, it's technically a botched powerbomb. Kawada would only perform the moves a scant few times which helped add to the mystique of it. It sort of became a "super finisher" of sorts, busted out when all else failed.
So what say you, Cagesiders? How awesome was that?
If you have any ideas for something that made you say "that was awesome!!!" pass it along to us. We'll shout you out if we use your idea! Contact me at sergio.hernandez.tx@gmail.com.
