I will be totally honest.

When I saw this as a kid, I cried. No, that's not completely accurate. I bawled like a baby. Granted, I was only a few years removed from being exactly that.

Jake Roberts and The Undertaker had teamed up to make Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth's lives hell and at SummerSlam 1991 hid a snake inside one of the gifts at their wedding reception. A couple of months later, this happened.

At 8-years old, seeing one of your favorite wrestlers getting bit by a snake is one of the most traumatic experiences a young wrestling fan can go through. I remember screaming at my mom like she would be able to do something about it and she tried to convince me that the snake was fake.

I was 8 but I wasn't stupid. If the snake itself wasn't absolutely real, the blood dripping down "Macho Man's" arm was. Elizabeth was going nuts at ringside, I was going nuts inside my living room.

But enough of the therapy session, let's just get down to the video.

One of my favorite parts of the moment is Savage trying to fight back after being freed from the ropes. He's stumbling around, disoriented while the commentary team is talking up the poison that is surely pumping through his system. Of course, the snake was devenomized so it stands as just another testament to Savage's brilliance.

I heard a rumor that Vince McMahon's plan was just to tease the bite but "Macho Man" was adamant to go the full nine. Can anyone confirm or squash that for me?
