Tonight's (Sept. 30) episode of WWE Smackdown featured the unveiling of a new black ring attire for the "fake" Sin Cara, as you can see in the photo above. A match between the two Sin Cara's was also officially announced for Hell in a Cell this Sunday, Oct. 2 in New Orleans.
Hunico, the "fake" Sin Cara, cut an interesting promo just after revealing his new look, making mention of the past heat these two shared over the rights to the name Mistico. It seemed odd Hunico would make mention of such a thing because casual WWE fans surely know nothing about that situation and even some fans considered hardcore aren't entirely aware of it.
That said, it's actually a brilliant storyline to play off, especially for Internet smarks that eat such a thing up. WWE furthered this on its website in a match preview for their pending showdown on Sunday.
The dark-colored masked Superstar wasted no time declaring his intentions to the other Sin Cara and the WWE Universe. Indicating that his masked adversary had stolen his identity in the past, he proclaimed that their confrontation at WWE Hell in a Cell would decide who would be known as Sin Cara.
This isn't likely to move the needle in any direction and under better circumstances, this feud should actually get a lot more time of day. Unfortunately, thanks to a series of regrettable events surrounding both Mistico (attitude problems in the back) and Hunico (botching spots to the point of having to redo entire matches during tapings), this match at Hell in a Cell could very well be the blowoff to send Hunico packing.
Unless, of course, Vince McMahon changes his mind at the last minute like he's so prone to do. Anyone craving more of this feud? Or are you ready to move on with one or the other? If so, which one?
