Rampage Jackson v Thiago Silva Slated for UFC 130

I'm focusing more on trying to report MMA news that has some relevance to those visiting the site strictly for the top notch pro wrestling coverage.  In that interest, I'm here to tell you all that Rampage Jackson has been inked to face off against Thiago Silva at May 28th's UFC 130.  You may remember Rampage Jackson from his stint hosting Raw last year as part of the promotional campaign for the remake of The A-Team, the project containing Rampage's Hollywood debut as BA Baracus.  If I remember correctly, he was handcuffed to the ropes before eventually breaking free.

Ah, there it is.  Rowdy Roddy Piper is forever.  The American Dream should look into Atkins.  That shit works.

Rampage came back strong after his loss to Rashad Evans (his first fight back from the movie set), defeating Lyoto Machida via split decision in a fight he was widely expected to lose.  Silva, on the other hand, is coming off of a decision win via pimp slap over Brandon Vera at last week's UFC 125.

This card will be headlined by the rematch of last week's main event as Frankie Edgar will once again defend his belt against Gray Maynard.  Also, the much maligned UFC heavyweight division will apparently feature two match ups, as Roy Nelson returns from contract limbo to face off against Frank Mir (in a rematch of a Grappler's Quest bout from 2003 which Nelson won) and 6'11 Stefan "Skyscraper" Struve will face off against 6'7 Travis Browne.
