This just went up:
He doesn't come off completely serious, and there's a good reason for that: According to a conversation that one of their reps had with Luke Thomas, Strike Force says he's not.
The report is not correct. Batista is not signed.
Hopefully this story doesn't blow up without the correction from Strike Force.
Update: At SBNation.com/MMA, David St. Martin put up a post about training for MMA with Batista and he's under the impression that Batista is probably going to fight for Strike Force, but it's not official yet.
SB Nation has contacted Strikeforce and they are claiming as of 11:30am he has not yet signed. It is possible that they have agreed on an opponent but are still working out the details of the contract as a whole.

I've never ridden a bull, and never plan to, but this is as close as I'm likely to get. I think I fell off eventually, where he then set in a relentless neck crank. I'm not sure he knew exactly what he was doing, but having that big a person put their weight on you isn't pleasant. I wouldn't tap, but it hurt like hell.
