While Dixie Carter claims it's to avoid overlapping with some basketball coverage, this coming Monday, TNA and Spike TV are finally doing what everybody has been telling them to do for 3 months: Start Impact an hour earlier to get the jump on Raw. The January 4th special that started all this drew a 1.5 rating the first hour, easily their biggest audience to date, and mostly went downhill from there (Hulk Hogan's debut speech at the start of the 2nd hour was a solid draw as well). Since permanently moving to Monday nights, the ratings have been consistently going down, with a ghastly 0.6 this past Monday. Demographic data has indicated that the Monday viewers are new to TNA while those watching the Thursday replay (which is beating the original broadcast) are the same viewers who have been watching Impact every week forever.
So, what happens next?
