Alistair Overeem vs. Todd Duffee is Official, Non-Title Fight

Dream officials formally announced Overeem vs.Duffee for this weekend's Dynamite!! 2010 show. The fight is slated to be a 3, 5-minute round non-title bout. Alistair Overeem is coming off a big win at the K-1 World Grand Prix Finals, where he finished kickboxing legend Peter Aerts in the first round to win the title. Todd Duffee was cut from the UFC after his devastating KO loss to Mike Russow at UFC 114, but Dana White insists that it was Duffee's "attitude" that got him fired.

Duffee comes in as big underdog for this fight, but doesn't appear to be lacking confidence, wearing a shirt to the Dream press conference that read "Doubt Me". Overeem had been vocal about hoping this fight was for the first Dream Heavyweight Title, but no such luck. In the video below, Overeem let's the press know that if this fight is not for a title, he'll be...upset.

Dream "Dynamite!! 2010" airs live on HDNet on December 31st at 4a.m. ET:
