Eric Young becomes the latest wrestler to leave TNA due to their cost cutting

"We can always hire some cheap indy mark to take Eric Young's role as our regular comedy goofball" - the likely sentiment within TNA management to his leaving. (Wikimedia Commons)

Dave Meltzer broke the news at the 25:58 mark of the free November 9th Wrestling Observer radio show.  According to Meltzer, Young, whose contract was up for renewal, decided to part ways with TNA after he was offered a much worse deal than his existing one to re-sign with the company and has opted to explore other options in the wrestling world instead.  As I said when Tara was lowballed on contract renegotiations many months ago:

But unfortunately when a wrestling company burns through their cash reserves on an ill advised Monday night experiment, it's always the undercard talent that suffers.  Tara's not the first victim (see the recent firing of Christopher Daniels) and she surely won't be the last.

This continues the unfortunate trend of the gap betweens the haves and the have nots widening within TNA, as Vye went into great detail in his post about TNA's appalling treatment of talent, and most recently exhibited by their new X division champion Robbie E continuing to work as a high school PE teacher in his home town of Woodbridge, New Jersey.
