According to the various major wrestling news sites, Edward Fatu, best known for his work as Jamal and Umaga in WWE, has been hospitalized and is on life support machines. Early this morning, his wife found him not breathing with blood coming out of his nose. He was rushed to the hospital and his family was told to get there as soon as possible. His family has been told that the belief is that he suffered a heart attack. PWTorch has reported that it may be drug related.
While some wrestlers have heard he has either died or been declared brain dead, this is not true, though from published reports it does appear that it's an unfortunately likely possibility. Fatu was fired by WWE in June after refusing to go to rehab for his painkiller problem and his since been wrestling on independent shows and for larger promotions internationally. This was his second stint in WWE. He had previously been fired after an incident where he threatened to have a police officer killed.
