According to Jason Powell at ProWrestling.net, Jesse Neal was "scolded" by TNA's road agents and more experienced wrestlers for taking a chairshot to the head unprotected and "lectured" that he should use his hands to protect himself in the future. The belief was that he wanted to "show his toughness" by taking the head shot, an eerie reminder of Rob Van Dam's claim from a few years ago that taking unprotected chairshots was "[his] way of respecting the business." It's a very, very good to see TNA taking a step in the right direction here.
