Let’s get weird.
For WWE 2K19, 2K Sports is overhauling the MyCAREER mode and it’s spiraling down a very interesting rabbit hole. Today (Spet. 20) the first trailer for WWE 2K19’s MyCAREER dropped and didn’t go easy on the swerves.
This year rather than a straight, more reality based, story mode for the game, 2K19’s MyCAREER mode looks to lean more towards the fantasy/campy elements of past pro wrestling video games.
The trailer itself is really well done and feels like it would be at home playing right before an actual big-time match at WrestleMania 35. We’ve gotten to the point where even the video game trailers for WWE feel grand in scale.
A fully fleshed out indie scene? The return of voice-overs instead of subtitled dialogue? This all looks amazing and it looks like 2K Sports have made a real effort to take a hard right turn when it comes to their career mode.
Add to it the massive roster WWE 2K19 already announced plus the latest additions in the first wave of DLC, and maybe this year will feel a little different in the virtual world of the WWE.
Also we’d like to point out whatever is going on in this screenshot, we are 100% into it.
WWE 2K19 is set to be released on Oct. 9 for PS4 and Xbox One.
Excited?
