Braun Strowman was very excited to get Kevin Owens in a cage where he couldn’t run away.
KO still wanted to run away.
It didn’t work.
After a few attempts to escape the steel cage in their match at Extreme Rules in Pittsburgh on July 15, Owens got caught and thrown around in typical Monster Among Men style. KO did manage to land a few blows of his own, and after a frog splash, he had a real opportunity to get out the door.
He didn’t make it, and things got even uglier. Owens got thrown face-first into the steel, a lot. Even after he connected with a stunner.
Owens 3:16 says Kevin only wanted a friend.

But KO had one last trick up his sleeve. Or sleeveless t-shirt (you know what I mean). Owens produced some handcuffs and locked Braun to the top rope. He took a little too long to enjoy a chance at payback, however.
It was probably the crotch chop.
KEVIN, NO!

An incensed Strowman broke free from the handcuffs, caught up to KO at the top of the cage and hurled him 20 feet to the floor through the announce table!
Goodness gracious.

Which means he won. But he also lost. Hard.
