When Kurt Angle first mentioned a name he would like to induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame, it was Stone Cold Steve Austin. Later, he expanded that into a list that included Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, and John Cena.
Today, WWE announced Cena would be doing the honors.
Angle was the guy tasked with making Cena look good in his very first match in WWE all the way back in 2002, so the two will always be linked. There were others who had more of an impact on Angle’s WWE career, like Austin and Lesnar, but Cena is a fitting choice, all things considered.
Angle is happy about it:
I'm beyond honored to have the legendary @JohnCena inducting me into the 2017 WWE HOF. #finishwherewestarted #itstrue

Cena’s response:
Thank you for everything you taught me and grateful to be a part of such a historic moment in @WWE history. https://t.co/Ti4r7odp9t
