When Brock Lesnar makes his long awaited return to mixed martial arts (MMA) after nearly five years away, he will do so as an underdog.
Surprise.
The folks at Bovada have released odds on his upcoming fight against Mark Hunt, scheduled for UFC 200 on Sat., July 9, 2016, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the "Super Samoan" is the favorite:
Mark Hunt vs Brock Lesnar
Mark Hunt -200 (1/2)
Brock Lesnar +160 (8/5)
While Lesnar may have an advantage in size and wrestling, Hunt, who is saying he's going to knock Brock's face off, is the clearly superior striker with devastating knockout power. Brock's last two fights ended via technical knockout when he couldn't withstand an offensive barrage from either Cain Velasquez or Alistair Overeem.
Don't be surprised if the outcome here is the same. Then again, Lesnar maintains his diverticulitis issues were to blame for his lack of success before leaving the UFC for WWE. Perhaps he'll prove the oddsmakers wrong?
