If there were any questions regarding the direction WWE was headed with Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch after this week's episode of Monday Night Raw, they were answered on SmackDown with the incredible segment you see above. It's all of 2:17 and features this glorious exchange:
Becky: "Well, Sasha and I are far from friends..."
Sasha: "Oh hell no. For the record, The Boss doesn't do friends. Now, Renee, I know you have your own show on the WWE Network so let's turn this little interview into an episode of Table for 3. Now, Becky, if you were in the middle of the street on fire and I had a bottle of water, I would dump every last bit before I would ever help you out."
Becky: "Well, unlike you, who decided that giving me a cheap shot at Royal Rumble was the best way to make a statement, if I see somebody in trouble I help them out."
Sasha: "Did I ask you for your help? Huh?"
Becky: "Yeah, cause you looked like you didn't need any help on Raw. If I would have just walked away you would have been just fine. You would have handled Tamina and Naomi all on your own."
Sasha: "You know what, I would have lasted a lot longer than you would."
Becky: "You wouldn't. But you know what? What's left of Team BAD is gunning for you."
Sasha: "After last week, they're gunning for you too."
Becky: "Oh, well, I guess then we'll just have to help each other out."
Sasha: "I guess we will."
Becky: "Then after that I'm going to get my rematch with Charlotte."
Sasha: "Not unless I get to her first."
Becky: "FINE!"
Sasha: "FINE!"
Becky: "GOOD!"
Sasha: "GOOD!"
Renee: "Did you two just decide to work together?"
Becky: "I don't know!"
That's great character developmental while advancing the story with some added intrigue for what's to come. Becky is the true blue babyface who will always help someone in need, even an adversary, while Sasha is a calculating heel who will only do what's best for herself. For now, they'll unite to battle common enemies on the path back to glory but they're taking entirely separate, wholly unique routes to get there.
This also leaves the door open for a triple threat Divas championship match at WrestleMania 32.
There was doubt over where this story would go after the seemingly baffling events of Raw but we may have finally entered a time when WWE should be given the benefit of the doubt on the Divas division.
