WWE NO MERCY LIVE BLOG & MATCH COVERAGE
In days of old, when the books were untold speak of a world crushed by sin. "The people will mourn of a war to be born," nobody would listen to him, but me, I'm just here to liveblog a pro wrestling show, folks.
Pre-show is live with our panel, Renee Young, Booker T, Jerry Lawler, and Lita. Their first order of business is to put over the WWE World Championship match, now kicking the main show off.
Over with Tom Phillips in the social media lounge, promoting an exclusive Q&A with the Usos later in the pre-show.
And now a video package for Orton/Wyatt, followed by panel discussion of the same, before the same process is repeated for the Intercontinental Championship match.
In the arena, Curt Hawkins makes an entrance. He says he did it, like he said he would, he stepped foot in the ring at No Mercy. Thank you and good night he says, as pyro goes off up the ramp. He then says he's gonna take it another step forward and leave us with another big Curt Hawkins announcement. A siren goes off, and he announces that on Tuesday night he'll be having his first match on SmackDown Live.
Alexa Bliss is backstage with Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon. Shane informs her that Becky Lynch will be unable to compete tonight. Bliss says she signed a contract to compete for a title tonight and thus should be the new WWE SmackDown Women's Champion. Bryan says with them in charge titles are earned, not given, and says she'll get her title shot on November 8th in Glasgow, Scotland, and that she's not having the night off tonight, either. Bliss vows to win the title and walks off.
The panel discusses this news and sends to Tom Phillips for the Usos Q&A. They talk about how the fans are responsible for their "new attitude", that they're not jealous of American Alpha, and how they don't care about New Day's record. The panel then discusses the tag title match before recapping Corbin/Swagger and discussing that match.
Nikki Bella joins the panel for a discussion of her match against Carmella.
American Alpha (Chad Gable & Jason Jordan) & Hype Bros (Mojo Rawley & Zack Ryder) vs. Ascension (Konnor & Viktor) & Vaudevillains (Aiden English & Simon Gotch)
English and Gable start, Chad picks the legs and takes English to the mat. Waistlock takedown, tag to Jordan, they while English in the corner, Gotch comes in, monkey flip on Gotch, double hip toss to Aiden, dropkicks on both men! Ryder tags in, arm-wringer, tag to Viktor. Big man with a side headlock takeover, Ryder to his feet, shoots him off, eats a shoulder block, drop down, bend over, Viktor with a suplex, Zack reverses to a neckbreaker!
Tag to Mojo, who dances over before boxing Viktor's ears. He declares him not to be hype and goads him into charging in before dropping him with a lariat. Viktor forces Rawley into the corner, tag to Konnor, who throws chops at Mojo. Tag to Ryder, running crossbody, Viktor runs in, flapjacked by Ryder, Vaudevillains come in and get German suplexed by American Alpha, the babyfaces collectively clothesline the heels out of the ring and we go to an ad for WWE 2K17.
Back from the ad and Konnor has a side headlock on Zack Ryder. He rains punches down on Ryder and breaks the hold before tagging Viktor in. Quick tags as the Ascension work Ryder over, Konnor trapping his head under the apron before laying a knee into him. English in, more punches and a side headlock as he sings Ryder a lullaby. Zack fights to his feet and escapes with a jawbreaker but Aiden takes him back in the corner and tags to Gotch. Headlock with kicks to the head(!), quick tag to Konnor.
Konnor stomps Zack's head in before dragging him to his feet and hitting a European uppercut. Charge in the corner, Ryder with the boots up but Konnor drags him out of the ring before he can tag. Zack sends Konnor into the barricade and gets back in the ring, but he can't get the tag because Viktor yanks Gable and Rawley off the apron.
Jason Jordan tags in and wrecks English. Belly-to-belly, exploder, and everything breaks down as we do the multi-man "everybody does something cool to one other guy" before inevitably...
American Alpha & Hype Bros win by pinfall with Grand Amplitude on Aiden English.
The panel then puts the WWE World Championship match over some more and send to a video package before discussing it at length.

Randy Orton is pacing a very small circle backstage now, before looking in the mirror. His image warps and distorts and he shakes his head.
The pre-show panel then recaps the show for us.
Alexa Bliss comes out, mic in hand, so her promised replacement match must be up. She says Bryan and Shane are protecting their "pathetic" champion and questions the veracity of Becky's injury, suggesting that it's a hangnail or perhaps her hair falling out, before claiming that she's the real reason. She says Becky was afraid to lose to her, and there's not a single woman in this entire arena that's even on the same level as her, which prompts Naomi to come out.
Alexa Bliss vs. Naomi
Collar-and-elbow to start, Naomi turns it into a side headlock, Bliss reverses to one of her own, Naomi shoots her off and she runs Naomi over before mocking her. Naomi grabs her boot and gets kicked in the face before the giant step against the ropes. Naomi kicks at Alexa's leg before going into the Speedball kicks. Split-legged moonsault follows but it's only good for two.
Whip, reversal, Bliss cracks Naomi in the face with a forearm and drags her up but Naomi fires back with an inverted double stomp. Alexa back drops her to the apron and cuts off her slingshot with a low kick. Stepover knee drop armbreakers now, and Alexa stays on it with an armbar. Naomi out with forearms but Bliss takes her to the mat and grabs the armbar again before taking it seated. Wristlock stomps to the shoulder and right back to the armbar again.
Naomi turns herself over to a seated position and fights to her feet with more forearms. Whips reversed and reversed, with Alexa finally sending Naomi into the turnbuckles and going back to the arm. Charges in and Naomi slips aside and throws Alexa into the turnbuckles before hitting a spinning X-Factor. Dropkick, whip, Rear View gets two.Another whip, Alexa dodges whatever Naomi had in mind, and trips her into a cross armbar. Naomi's able to roll herself around, however...

Bray stares Orton down cool and confident for a minute as Orton paces. Collar-and-elbow, Bray breaks in the corner and goes upside down but when he leaves his perch Orton is ready and nearly gets an RKO. Bray bails and takes his sweet time getting back in, but when he does he breaks a collar-and-elbow right off with a right hand and forces Orton in the corner. Orton fires back with hands of his own but Bray drops him with a big right. Double chop to the throat, sends Orton off the ropes, Orton comes back, lays Bray out and starts laying in the grounded stomps.
Mounted punches in the corner, Bray throws him off before ten and runs into a back elbow. Orton off the ropes, Wyatt catches him looking for Sister Abigail but Randy escapes. Corner avalanche and a follow-up headbutt between the shoulder blades and Orton's out of it. Bray locks a reverse chinlock in but Randy fights to his feet and out with body blows. Wyatt knocks him right back down with a big right and they go to the apron. Randy blocks forearms and throws rights in return but Wyatt hits a DDT on the apron! Whip, Bray drops him with a lariat for two and goes back to the reverse chinlock. Orton back to his feet again but Bray cuts him right off with a kick to the knee and a body slam.
Wyatt up to the second, admiring how his fingers fing before spreading his wings wide and looking for the diving senton but Orton rolls out of the way. Punch for punch, headbutts and kicks, Randy wins the exchange but Wyatt whips him in the corner. Orton right back out with clotheslines, thinking the snap powerslam but Wyatt holds onto the ropes. Sister Abigail foiled, Orton nails the powerslam this time and looks to follow with the rope-hung DDT but Wyatt slips out.

Wyatt then chucks Orton out of the ring and sets Randy up on the bottom step from earlier. SENTON ON THE STEP BUT ORTON GETS OUT OF THE WAY! Randy rolls back in to break the count and slams Wyatt's face into the announce table a few times before ramming him into the barricade and nailing him with the back suplex into the barricade.

Bray Wyatt wins by pinfall with Sister Abigail.
Harper soaks it in before embracing Bray and they head up the ramp together. That's the show, folks.
