While Daniel Bryan has yet to be cleared to return to active wrestling by WWE doctors, he's still able to do projects for the company, like a recent trip to India for a promotional tour to announce future live shows in the country. While there, he was interviewed by The Statesmen and spoke of his frustration with the fact that he's still on the sidelines:
"My wife is a wrestler, so she is on the ring, and I am just sitting, it is difficult... when I am upset, when I am angry, wrestling was always there as an outlet.. I could go, drop and kick... you can call your mom and you can call your sister... but sometimes you just need a physical outlet... I don't know how to cope with this situation."
Bryan has been out of action dating back to April due to complications related to concussions. He's been cleared by an independent neurologist since then but WWE doctors have yet to do the same. A month ago he told IGN that there was a plan in place to visit another doctor and said doctor would determine his fate.
But he has no plans to retire and if WWE doesn't want to let him wrestle, he's made clear he'll do so somewhere else.
Health should be placed above all other interests, of course, but if there was ever a time for Bryan to make his return it's now. Seth Rollins was forced to vacate the WWE world heavyweight championship after suffering a knee injury that will keep him out for the better part of the next year and the promotion is badly in need of credible talent at the main event level.
Who better than Bryan?
