There a couple of reports floating around today about former Divas champ Nikki Bella, and depending on which one is accurate, they present very different outlooks for her in-ring future.
Both version agree that the Total Divas star is rehabbing a neck injury, but that's about it.
Over at Pro Wrestling Sheet, Ryan Satin is saying that she's is doing physical therapy up to eight times a day as a way to try and avoid having surgery done on her neck. Extra fluid in her central nervous system and bulging discs pressing on her spinal column left Nikki one bump away from paralysis, per Satin, making the situation career threatening.
Meanwhile, Paige was on talkSPORT's Gorilla Postion podcast before the WWE's UK tour and told host James Delow that they expected Bella back in six weeks. Recorded on November 4, that would put her return in December.
Nothing that Nikki has said in her Instagram posts has contradicted either report. She's stated that she's in the therapist's room exercising eight times a day for bulging discs in her neck, and that she would be back - but she hasn't provided a time frame.
Whatever the risks in the ring, she hasn't been prohibited from doing things like international air travel, as she and sister Brie were in Paris over the weekend to celebrate their grandmother's birthday (and, fortunately, avoided any serious impact from the terrorist attacks of last Friday night).
Time will tell if the non-surgical course she's attempting will be sufficient to get her back in the ring, or if E! is the only place we'll see the Fearless One for the foreseeable future.
