In a major development for the growing pro wrestling media industry, a former Senior Producer at TMZ, Ryan Satin, has launched his own pro wrestling website, ProWrestlingSheet.com.
In his role at TMZ, Satin was responsible for breaking a number of major wrestling news stories, so he has an established pedigree and his site sounds like it will become a must read for fans who want to be on top of what's going down in the industry.
Below is the official press release Satin sent out to Cageside Seats:
"Los Angeles, CA (October 9th, 2015) — Editor in Chief Ryan Satin officially announced today the launch of Pro Wrestling Sheet, a wrestling news website focused on publishing exclusive behind the scenes stories on a daily basis about wrestlers from WWE, TNA Wrestling, Ring of Honor and Lucha Underground ... as well as the men and women who work across the world for various independent promotions.
Ryan Satin previously worked at TMZ for 6 years, where he worked his way up in rank to the position of Senior Producer — managing the website on weekends for 2 years — and helping the company break some of the biggest stories in entertainment ... including his exclusive scoops on major wrestling stories.
Examples include: Impact Wrestling's cancellation on Spike TV, WWE announcing they'd finally induct Macho Man Randy Savage into their Hall of Fame, Rey Mysterio receiving his release from WWE and Ronda Rousey expressing interest in making a WrestleMania appearance one year before it actually happened.
Pro Wrestling Sheet is intended to give fans a new place to read exclusive stories about their favorite wrestling stars on a daily basis — and will only publish stories that have been verified and fact checked. Every Friday, Pro Wrestling Sheet will also release a new episode of The Sheet Podcast — featuring Editor in Chief Ryan Satin discussing the top stories in the world of professional wrestling with co-hosts Elijah Bates and Kevin Silva. The first episode is currently available on Stitcher and ProWrestlingSheet.com
Business Just Picked Up."
His enthusiasm for pro wrestling shines through in his official launch video and it's clear that he plans to cover the news differently than other existing sites. This is a must for Satin to carve out a niche in a crowded marketplace and I hope he can succeed in doing exactly that. Competition helps everybody to raise their games, so I welcome the new player in the dirt sheet game.
